Albuquerque, New Mexico- Cries of “Overturn Roe” will be voiced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and across the nation on December 1, 2021, as the United States Supreme Court hears arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson. The case has gathered substantial attention from both life advocates and abortion backers because it is the most significant challenge to Roe v. Wade to rise up in the courts in more than a decade. OverturnRoe.org, a pro-life coalition, is taking the battle over abortion to the streets on December 1 to voice their encouragement for upending the 1973 decision that legalized abortion in the United States. On December 1st, citizens will gather to pray and rally at Tiguex park in Albuquerque to urge the repeal of abortion on demand in America.
“Roe v. Wade is outdated, it’s bad law, and it’s been responsible for the ‘legal’ murder of more than sixty-two million children,” explained Eric Scheidler, Executive Director of the Pro-Life Action League and a key coordinator with the OverturnRoe.org coalition.
On that day, pro-life Americans from coast to coast will hold rallies letting the Supreme Court know that they are ready for Roe to go.
In our community, we will be holding a rally at Tiguex Park! Here are the details:
WHERE: Tiguex Park, 1800 Mountain Rd NW
WHEN: 10:00am
DETAILS: Speakers include, Pastor Clarence Washington, Pro-life Candidates, Post Abortive Women Speaking Out and More, Praise and Worship by Pastor Gary Cowan, Calvary Chapel East
“The American people have long opposed Roe v. Wade. Even the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg criticized the reasoning of the decision. We’re sending a message to the Supreme Court that it’s time for this bad ruling to be overturned once and for all,” said Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico and event organizer.
A final ruling in the case is expected in Spring 2022.
