The citizens of ABQ will have an election on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance. This battle has been up and down from the beginning, we are so thankful for yet another victory. Its official and set in stone we have our election at the polls on Nov. 19th to end late-term abortion…thanks to Don Harris and Dan Lewis making sure that the resolution R-15-250 was neutralized until after Nov. 19th!
This just in from Dan McKay, Albuquerque Journal reporter:
“After much parliamentary maneuvering, Trudy Jones’ bill has been referred to a committee meeting set for Nov. 25. In other words, it’s dead.”
This from KOAT 7: “We just finished one election in the city of Albuquerque, but brace yourself – now it’s time for another one.
It’s sort of a two-way dual purpose citywide vote-in-person election on whether or not to ban late term abortions, combined with a runoff election in one Northeast Heights City Council District.
It’s set for Tuesday, Nov. 19, so mark your calendars – even if you’re one of the 273,000 or so eligible voters who didn’t bother to vote in the election we just had. You are still welcome to vote in the special one on abortion.”
