    Albuquerque, New Mexico- Abortion Free New Mexico would like to clarify that candidates who sign our pro-life pledge are not receiving an official endorsement. Abortion Free New Mexico does not endorse candidates, we let you know who stands for life and entrust you, the voter, with the responsibility to see where the candidates stand on other important issues. Life, however, is the preeminent issue when choosing a candidate to vote for because without life, nothing else matters.

    Abortion Free New Mexico has simply provided the candidates an opportunity to solidify their pro-life position by signing a pro-life pledge but the voters, their constituents, have to make the final decision to support them. Abortion Free New Mexico would love for every candidate to sign a pro-life pledge regardless of party affiliation but unfortunately too many candidates are bought and paid for by pro-abortion groups and individuals. Please contact the candidates, see where they stand on other issues. Vote your values and refuse to be silenced.

    The Albuquerque mayoral, city council and school board election will be held on November 2, 2021. Early Voting runs from October 16, 2021 to October 30, 2021. 

    Tara Shaver, spokeswoman for Abortion Free New Mexico issued the following statement,

    “We have worked hard over the years to encourage all of the candidates to boldly stand for life. This election cycle, we asked the candidates to sign our pro-life pledge. We are thankful that so many candidates running at the local city level are not shying away from boldly declaring their pro-life position.”

    BREAKING: Manny Gonzales For Mayor Signs Pro-Life Pledge

    Albuquerque, New Mexico- Abortion Free New Mexico is pleased to announce that Manny Gonzales (D) who is running for mayor of Albuquerque has signed our Pro-Life Pledge.

    Abortion Free New Mexico’s Pro-Life Pledge states:

    “I pledge to defend life from conception to natural death. In making and keeping this pledge, I am committed to ending all abortion and all assisted suicide in the state of New Mexico.”

    Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico issued the following statement,

    “The fact that three out of four mayoral candidates have signed our pro-life pledge affirms that life is an important issue to the voters of Albuquerque. It is also a testament to the character of the candidates who have pledged to defend life. Albuquerque, New Mexico is known as the late-term abortion capital of the nation and Abortion Free New Mexico is committed to working to change this horrific reputation. We are thankful that Manny Gonzales is running as a pro-life candidate for mayor and that he is committed to defending the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.”

    The Albuquerque city election will be held on November 2, 2021. Early Voting is currently underway but ends on October 30, 2021. 

    Manny Gonzales joins two other candidates for Albuquerque mayor, Eddy Aragon (R) and write-in candidate Patrick Sais (R), who have also signed Abortion Free New Mexico’s Pro-Life Pledge.

    “Without life, nothing else matters! It is time that we elect a pro-life mayor who will set the tone for our city as being one that affirms life. Women come from all across the globe to Albuquerque for the latest abortions, those done in the third trimester of pregnancy. The pro-life community wants to help these women find solutions to the problems that bring them here for abortions as well as change our city’s reputation as a destination for abortion tourism. We can do that better with new leadership in the mayor’s office.”
